Nokishita Toshokan | Explore and Relax

During my recent trip to Japan, I was very delighted to start my journey in the small village of Nishiawakura in the Okayama prefecture.  I stayed in Nokishita Toshokan, a family-owned Bed and Breakfast, with warm welcoming hosts who also happen to be my friends. I indulged everything including traditionally-made Japanese breakfast and treats.

In Nishiawakura you set foot in a countryside surrounded by kaki trees, mountains, pine tree woods and rice fields. In Nokishita Toshokan you experience the daily life of Hiromi and Olivier based on their values while keeping Japanese traditions and staying in touch with nature.
A fusion of culture with a taste of France, and even the French Caribbean, through their bakery 'Hugo et Léo' where you can indulge fresh bread, croissant, pain au chocolat, brioche, quiche and much more; also a great spot to meet the locals. No need to feel shy if your Japanese is far from existent.
No one will hold it against you, for they are are keen to get to know you.
A unique destination worth the trip where you can relax, explore and leave reinvigorated. Take time to explore other unfamiliar areas other than Tokyo, the way I have touched base in Nishiawakura.

SADE | music that touches the soul

A music that takes you to another level, a voice that touches your soul and a performance to remember, SADE (the band) did not disappoint and SADE the singer was as stunning as always.
Their performance in Ahoy, Rotterdam (the Netherlands), last night was priceless...

Gone...are some things

Gone...are some things, a photo by ∞ Agnès ∞ on Flickr.
Yesterday in broad day light, someone (or a few idiots) broke into my house (well, actually, just let themselves in somehow through the front door) and stole a few things including my new Panasonic Lumix GH1 (and an old small one). I had just ordered a brand-new lens, which I've just received today but I have no camera to test it with.
I won't be able to shoot this weekend like planned but I'll need to start getting things in order and get them replaced soon and be on the look out for a new camera.
The worst part is not the loss of those stuff but more the violation of my intimacy.

event | international pillow fight day

Today, Saturday 2nd April, is International Pillow Fight Day. Interesting fun concept to motivate crowds in urban areas to drop passive tendencies and do something FUN . Taking place in many cities across the globe around 14:00 or 15:00 local time (in most places). ENJOY!
